Birmingham City's Season Preview

So Birmingham comes back to the EPL. In my opinion this is one heck of a boring team. The only match of interest during the season would be the local derby against Aston Villa.



Even their logo/crest is kind of boring.

This season, Birmingham made these signings.

Richard Kingson - Remember Ghana in the World Cup? This is their keeper.
Nick Wright - I don know anything about this guy
Daniel De Ridder - Supposedly similar to Van Der Meyde. Look what he did in England
Olivier Kapo - From Juventus. This my friends is going to be Birmingham's player of the year.
Stuart Panarby - Average transfer for a relegation battler
Garry O'connor - Havent heard of him for a while. Apparently he's in Russia. haha!

Besides Olivier Kapo, the team is still rather weak to mount a challenge for a midtable position. I do not doubt that Birmingham can shock us and be the Reading 2006/2007, but that is rather unlikely. What I feel that they need to do is to buy a reliable striker.

Other than that, its a relegation battle. Maybe, ,just maybe they can do enough to push for the 12th or 13th position at the end of the Season.
